The Psalmist says, “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord…” (Ps 127:3) When we realize that each child is truly God’s child, we see these rising young people through new eyes. We actively cultivate the God-like qualities they need to develop and provide the support and guidance for them to grow into capable adults, filled with grace, compassion, and strength. Our children are our future, and they deserve the best we have to offer in thought and deed. Cherishing all children is the Reading Room’s charge for us during October.
